Data transmission


Question: Is it possible to transmit information to somebody else who has not ISDN line?
Answer: Yes, it is. Use the terminal adapter for data transmission that emulates modem. Certainly the transmission rate will be lower than at fully digital ISDN connection. However, the scheme will work.

Question: Why connection by ISDN is more cost effective than the connection by dedicated line?
Answer: In 60% cases of using dedicated lines (especially international) total time of data transmission is no more than 3-4 hours per day. For such channel loading (64 kbit/s and more transmission rate) the economy from using ISDN is 50%. Taking into consideration the last mile, that is required for finishing international dedicated channel, the savings of expenses to connection services approximates to 70%.
